Here’s a smoking hot freebie for you. A long time ago, I wrote that there was a Kellogg’s Cereal class action lawsuit revving up, and now the parties have reached an agreement. No receipts are required to stake a claim and the estimated average payout is $16.09, but if you do have receipts you can blow it out big time and score a bundle. This settlement is for folks that bought select Kellogg’s cereals between 8/29/12 and 5/1/20. The items that are included in the settlement are Kellogg’s Raisin Bran, Kellogg’s Smart Start and Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats.
If you have receipts, there is no limit to how many boxes of this cereal you can claim. (Well, technically the limit is how much you can prove.) However, if you don’t have receipts, you can claim purchases of up to two boxes per month each of Raisin Bran and Frosted Mini Wheats, and one box of Smart Start. You have until 9/7/21 to stake your claim.
