Publix 3/4 (Maureen) – $0.74 Profit on $68.99 in Merchandise (101% Saved)

I shopped Sunday and wasn’t going to post the trip because the printables are long gone and the sale week is almost over, but I decided to share it because it’s probably going to be my last Publix (barring a coupon miracle) using a Winn Dixie $5/$40 coupon. Those of you who completed the Winn Dixie register-receipt surveys to get a printable $5/$40 coupon that could be used at Publix have no doubt become aware that the coupon is no longer printable but can only be activated as a Winn Dixie digital coupon. Unless Winn Dixie reverts to the printable version, I will no longer have those to use at Publix. Sad times for us (but Publix will want to throw a parade).

Nevertheless, life goes on. I’ll miss the extra savings, but it’ll be easier to shop now that I will no longer feel compelled to organize my shopping into $40 transactions.

Publix 4/12 (Maureen) – $1.50 Profit on $135.26 in Merchandise (101.1% Saved)

I had a great trip to Publix today. Publix has a promotion to get a $10 Publix gift card when you spend $30 on qualifying P&G products. I bought the Pantene because we have a matching Publix coupon in the current purple flyer, the Pantene products qualify for the Publix Stocking Spree Rebate program, and we have high-value manufacturer coupons from the 4/1 P&G Brandsaver Sunday coupon booklet.

I wrote a post about the Publix Stocking Spree Rebate program HERE. Basically, you upload receipts for qualifying products and get a $10 Publix gift card every time you reach $50 (limit 12 per household per calendar year). This equals 20% back on the sale price (coupons don’t count against you). The Pantene and Heinz Ketchup qualify.

I also took advantage of a coupon in the current Target weekly ad to get a $5 gift card for spending $15 on household cleaning products. I went to a Publix that accepts Target as a competitor in order to use this coupon. Publix has a great sale right now for their “Spring Cleaning” promotion, and we have terrific printable coupons, so the combination was irresistible. An extra $5 discount is factored into the final tally for the trip for the Target coupon.

I had $48.61 in Heinz and Pantene purchases (pre-coupon). Both products qualify for the Publix Stocking Spree program to earn a $10 Publix gift card for every $50 spent on listed products, which is 20% back. I will earn $9.72 of my next $10 Publix gift card from today’s purchases, so I am including an additional $9.72 discount in the final for the trip.

4/13 Update: Stocking Spree took off $10 from the Pantene purchase price because of the auto-deduction for spending $30 on qualifying products, so I got credit for $38.61, not $48.61 for the receipt. I had $37 in Pantene going by shelf price, but the $10 autodeduction lowered the credit value for Stocking Spree to $27. That means my extra deduction for the trip is $7.72, not $9.72. I am adjusting the totals for the trip.

I had a fantastic trip to Publix today. I went to a Publix that accepts Target coupons because I wanted to take advantage of the big $10/$40 household products coupon in Sunday’s Target ad. I also wanted to use a $10/$50 gas card coupon in the current Publix ad. I was able to use both coupons in one order because Publix allows one competitor total-order coupon and one Publix total-order coupon. The coupons have to be satisfied separately, so I needed $40 in household products for the Target coupon and $50 in other groceries plus a $50 gas card for the Publix coupon. I consider the gas card coupon to be a discount on the groceries since I need to buy gas anyways, so the two coupons together gave me an additional $20 off the individual discounts listed below.

Ghosts of Coupon Deals Past: Almost FREE Turkeys at Publix ($1.44 each!) #TBT (NOV 2014!)

With things slowing down now that Christmas is nearly here, I decided to help fill the day with some posts to reminisce on coupon deals past. Isn’t that what the holidays are about…memories? This is a Publix trip from November 2014. Remember when they’d have great overlapping promotions and we could get whole turkeys for nearly free? In this trip, I paid $2.87 total for everything, which meant I picked up the two turkeys for $1.44 each and got the tea bags and V8 for free. Gosh I miss those days. We had a great trip to Publix this morning! One nice thing about shopping early was having the choice of turkeys. We actually chose smaller ones so that we aren’t making a commitment to eating turkey all week when we make one, plus they fit nicely in the freezer 🙂

The Lipton bottled teas aren’t pictured, because we were thirsty! FYI – The coupon beeps on the bottled teas, but there are no issues on the boxes. Ghosts of Coupon Deals Past! Maureen’s October 2017 Publix Trip – $174 of stuff for FREE + PROFIT! #TBT

This is a great trip that Maureen (a member of our team) had back in October 2017. She went to Publix and took almost $175 of their stuff…and she was paid to do it! Obviously, this trip is ancient, so none of the coupons are still available today, but I thought you would like to have a glimpse at what a pleasure shopping at Publix used to be previously. Enjoy!

I shopped the new Publix ad Friday night and took advantage of the $10/$50 gas card coupon found in the weekly ad (valid through Sunday). To use this coupon, you buy $50 in groceries and a $50 gas card of your choice. The $10/$50 coupon will take $10 off the top, then you apply whatever other coupons you have. I had $100 in groceries, so my store allowed me to get two $50 gas cards and use two $10/$50 coupons in a single transaction. Since I have to buy gas anyway, I consider the gas card deal to be a discount on the groceries rather than on the gas. An extra $20 discount is factored into the final tally for this trip.

I was quite happy with the deals in the weekly ad. It’s often the case that when we have a gas card coupon, the ad is a bit weak. Be sure to check your printables for the Smithfield and Crave dog food coupons. They were available recently (the Smithfield was available a few days ago) or within the last three weeks (Crave). If you haven’t used your digital coupon for a free Publix Premium Pancake mix, there is a maple syrup and pancake mix deal you won’t want to miss.

I’ll be going back Sunday to use another gas card coupon with the new deals in the purple health & beauty flyer that starts on Saturday, October 7. I told Steve the other day that I would probably only run into Publix for the Arla cream cheese and a package of Quilted Northern. Wasn’t I wrong! As it turns out, my father just got a new credit card because it pays a $150 bonus if you put $500 on the card in the first three months, so on his behalf, I took advantage of the gas card coupon in this week’s Publix ad. The coupon is for $10 off a $50 gas card when you spend $50 in groceries. The stores in my area allow customers to get a gas card for every $50 in groceries in a single transaction, so I am able to get three gas cards in one trip if I start out with $150 in purchases. I consider the gas card deal to be a discount on the groceries since we all need to buy gas anyway, so an extra $30 discount is factored into the trip tally in addition to the individual discounts listed below.

The Huggies deal was made sweeter by an unexpected price cut on the Snug & Dry diapers (they are now $8.99, down from $9.49 just a couple weeks ago). Add in the $9 off 3 sale price, the $2/1 manufacturer’s printables, and the $2/1 Publix coupon, and I have more diapers for my niece (due in April) for only $1.99 per jumbo pack!

I had a great trip to Winn-Dixie tonight! I would’ve saved more, but I decided to pass on cheap Sundown Naturals Vitamins. That caused me to need more items to hit the $40 mark so I could use the $10/$40 Winn-Dixie total purchase Catalina I got a few days ago (when I ran in to get a Totino’s Pizza.) So…I used that as an excuse and splurged a little. I bought wings from the deli, pretzels, coffee creamer (without a coupon) and I paid way too much for soda. However, all my other deals were so good that I still saved over 80%!

I earned $0.05 Fuel Perks (20 gallons max), which is worth $1. That extra $1 of savings is factored into the final stats for this trip. As mentioned above, I used a $10/$40 Winn-Dixie Catalina that I got recently. (It said it was some sort of bonus for being a member of their Baby Club.)

I still haven’t received my Savings Catcher results from Monday yet, but we had a ton of commenters last night saying that Walmart Savings Catcher was matching to 40 oz Tide to Dollar General at $1.95 (instead of $3.95) and Family Dollar at $2.50 (instead of $4.50), depending on which store operated near their Walmarts. That will make these deals HUGE MONEYMAKERS even without coupons if you transfer your Savings Catcher dollars to a (FREE) American Express Bluebird card.

With that in mind, I had to go shop again today. I’ve had some ancient restaurant gift cards laying around here that I converted into Walmart gift cards HERE so I didn’t have to come out of pocket on this trip. ONLY $5.17 for a GIGANTIC Whole Pork Loin and almost $200 of Personal Care at Publix (December 2014)

This is a pretty awesome Publix trip that was originally posted in December 2014. Publix had a massive clearance in personal care items and we had matching high-value coupons. Using a dollars off competitor coupon too, I managed to get everything for about $5…including that massive pork loin that was worth almost $35! The full original trip write up is below; obviously…all the coupons listed expired years ago. Enjoy!

I made a second trip to two Publix stores today, hoping they would have more Kraft Chunk Cheese after the truck arrived. Unfortunately, none came on the truck. However, we stumbled on a HUGE clearance in the health and beauty aisles.

We did one transaction at each store, using a $5 off $30 Winn-Dixie store coupon at both of them. We also did a gas card deal at the second store. Between the two Winn-Dixie coupons and the $10 gas card coupon, we saved an extra $20 beyond what is listed with the items below. Those savings are carried through to the bottom line stats for the trip.
